(Old photo - Ma is lazy and I don't know how to work the kamrah thingywhatsit. I'm just a spring chicken in this pic - my Mr Greys are missing)
Christmas Day: I had a wonderfully early morning awakened by a chew bone conundrum, prezzies from Team Husky and a santy sack from Ma loaded with tennis balls, chews and treats! We later drove to Grandmas home an hour or so away and I was spoiled and got more chews and some squeaky toys!!!!
Boxing Day (today): I had a lazy morning, snoozed, dug up the lawn a little (slap on the paw for me!). We went for a bikeride during which I boiled and then Ma, feeling sorry for me, took me down to the lake for a drink. I dove in, swum around, convinced Ma to throw sticks and it was FANTASTIC!
Thank you efurryone for all the christmassy wishes and greetings broadcasted to the world this week, and heres wishing all of you, your friends, furiends & families a very relaxed and refreshing festive season and a Happy New Year!

Ma tells me today that its nine sleeps til Santy visits.
She has attempted to make the place feel "christmassy" but I fear that it is not the case. The tree isn't green. There are no sparkly lights. What a poor effort.
The puppydog crackers are a nice touch. She only got little ones cos the big ones (with the better gifts!) were aparently "too big". Pfft.
I wonder if there is anything under here for me?
Waiting for the fat man in red.

WARNING! THIS POST MAY INDUCE EXCESSIVE SQEEING!
When I arrived at Mas house in May 2006, I was a little chap with jet black fur (no whiteys!) and big floppers of ears. I was once a young lad full of mischief...
Ma, bless her, decided to get off her bottom and get some old negatives put onto a disk which she has been meaning to do for the last four years. These gems are the result of this transaction:
Lazing on my wolf blanket. I used to sleep with my paws stretched out rigid in front of me like this...
Innocent pup with ears galore, see also my predominant nose mohawk had developed nicely by this stage and is still with me today...
Happy Friday pups and kitties!!!!!!!!!
Squeeful of it.

I have spent the last few days being interrogated about so called Scuffles in the yard. Just because it is my poofield, doesn't immediately mean I was the one to scuffle up the grass and dirt with my claws.
Here is the supposed evidence:

An explosion in the Pike River mine near Greymouth trapped 29 miners at 3.45pm on Friday 19 November 2010. The toxic gas levels and safety of the mine has been monitored all week ready for rescuers to enter the mine to attempt to locate the men. At 2.37pm on 24th November 2010, a 2nd explosion hit the mine, and the 29 miners trapped in the mine are now presumed dead.
Please see This Link for more information.
New Zealander's and particularly the West Coast community are banding together to support each other at this hard time. Messages and support have been received from all over the world.
It is planned that once it is deemed safe to do so, a further effort will be made to locate and retrieve the bodies of the miners and return them to their families.

You know how I was saying Ma has been very slack lately and that is why I have not been blogging much? Well. I was lying.
This is the truth, right here, shown to the world:
Aparently "Koda, for dogs sake, its a bit hard to paw your blogs when you are busy snoozing on the blogmaker!"
Anyhowl, yesterday the MOTH moved out of our place and its just me and Ma now. Ma told me it feels a little boring and quiet round the house at the moment, but it is the best for all. We had a gargantuanly fantastical sleep last night with the bed to ourselves. Hence, I have informally been crowned the new MOTH by unanimous vote. Pfft!
Ma dressed me in my smarts to make my incoming speech. But lets be honest, I couldn't be bothered.
I am hoping now that I have figured out the technical reason for this nonbloggingness, I will be appearing more often and back to normal.

While I am pawing this, Ma is stuffing her face with a sherbet dab (sugar and various other goodies) she bought at a craft market. She doesn't need it. But she tells me it will help her feel "peppy". Pfft!
Anyway. So a few weeks ago my green and glittery tag went AWOL. Ma supposes that I have scratched it off with a fit of the itches. Who knows, like I'm going to divulge to her where I have hidden it. She cannot help herself but dress me up like some drag queen. Come on! There is only so much purple and glitter one can handle.
You can imagine my relief when she bought this replacement:
Yes its still glittery, but at least its a colour suited to a ManDog. I hear she was considering all sorts of coloury goodness... it could've been pink! She did say she liked the turquoise but it was only in a kitty tag - with fish bones on it...
So we have been having some fantastical weather here at the House of MD.

Firstly, I thought I'd share a little Froggy Doggy for Merdie & Khyra.
Dontcha think I look a bit minature Moose-like in this snap? I would like to wish my pal Moose a belated Happy Birthday for 31st October!
Secondly, catching up on some news, we all knew Remington was Football Mad but I am little worried that Jack has gone Kitty Mad, Buddy has gone Poo Mad and Lorenza's Ma has gone a little overboard with her decorating prowess and started de-pinking the Grandma's place!
Huffle has been watching too much True Blood, Twinkie realised that it was in her best interests to let the kitties have their day and Mango was bright enough to acknowledge the power the kitties have over us of the K9 variety, appointing a scary looking bodyguard of the meowth variety.
Martha met a new squeeze by the name of Fawkes, Thomas & Charlie ensured that the Mancat Monday conference went down a treat and Benny & Lily located a long-lost Nemo!
Thirdly, a piece of advice to The Thundering Herd, don't eat the yellow snow!
So much has been happening that I have missed out on due to Ma's excrutiating lazyness. I better get my paws into gear and get catching up methinks!
On a different note, K's Ma got some bad toe news which we are devastated by and looking at the Pretty Chocolate Goodness that is K, I have paws, elbows and insides crossed for a positive ending to this horrifying and fateful event. I bet R and their Ma are taking the bestest care possible of dearest K. Please let them know all our thoughts are with them.

Today would of been my Great-Grandpaws 80th Birthday. He passed away in April 2009, you can see our post dedicated to him here. We went by the cemetery and placed some yellow roses on his grave, his favourite flowers.
Happy Birthday!!!! Wishing you the bestest day, wherever you are.

Today is Ma's birthday, she is as old as the hills. She is having a little get together on Saturday with a few friends but she didn't care enough about me to send invites to any of my friends, I might just have a party of my own someday.
Because it is her day and this is my blog, I will share a photo of my choice from the archives...
Entitled "Dorky looking Ma's shouldn't pose with outdoor power equipment cos her lazy butt is unlikely to even know how to turn the darn thing on":
Anyhoo, I have a photo of me doing actual competition weightpull, its the best I can do fur now but its better than zilch! Note the very serious expression (I may or may not have had a bit of gas). I am always serious about weightpull. I am making it look like it was hard work aren't I? It wasn't but I didn't feel like doing much. Do you think I look good in blue? Ma doesn't have anything for me thats blue.

I have to apologise for my slackness over the last few weeks. I have been terrible at visiting your bloggies and blogging myself. Its all Ma's fault of course. I can't work the tappity-tapper with these paws. Please accept my sincere apologies!
I have to share this story with everyone. It was in yesterdays paper and you can view it here. This dear elderly Labrador Retriever "Gail" was missing for 8 weeks and discovered in a neighbours tunnelhouse (you know, one of those things you grow stuff in). Which means she was in the tunnelhouse during our snow 6 weeks ago and also during the recent hot weather. She is lucky to be alive!
I am so happy for Gail and her paw who will be so happy to have his best friend home safe.
Paws up for Gail!
Paw paw clappety clap!

But since we got Sky TV (like Foxtel or Cable or whatever your version is called - a million channels and all that jazz - never much on!) the MOTH (Man Of The House for you newbies) has watched a lot of rugby league.
Our New Zealand team "The Warriors" did not make it into the finals, but they did play some interesting games.
The Junior Warriors team (under 20s) won their grade with a clean sweep against an Australian team! Bravo!
I'll continue to wear my shirt with pride!
Proud New Zealander (never mention there are a lot of Aussie lads in the team, but we don't need to care too much about that...)

Ma was feeling a little exasperated after another Monday at work and decided that a bout of fresh air and exercise on this lovely sunny afternoon was in order, I quite agreed - having been holed up the back yard all day, the scenery can get a little monotonous.
She even decided to take the old rubbish kamrah so if she dropped it, it wouldnt matter too much... the only problem is she took a couple of very cool videos which we can't share with you cos the silly files only want to play with Quicktime which Ma doesnt want on this computer.. does any puppy or kitty or their Ma's and Pa's know a way to make them work in Windows Media Player? We have tried taking them off camera and off the sd card itself. Videos we take on the new kamrah work fine! Please help.
Anyhooo... back to the original topic of this post - adventures!
Ma hooks me up to the stem of her bike, like on the scooter but much simpler, I still have my bungy to save me from the jerking and I still wear my harness. But most of all, Ma can help me out a lot by peddling... which is a change for her lazy bum, speaking of bums, she got some padded ass [insert visual here of a well laden pack-donkey... or am I wrong?] pants that are aparently very magical especially when its rough.
And when she says "Ok, lets go!" I do what I'm told:
And of course, with Ma assisting with the forward movement, I can go really fast!!!!!!:
The mountain bike track has had the loggers go through also, like our sled dog tracks so it can get a bit rutty at times, but they have made a whole heap of little windy trails through it... Ma was too useless to steer the bike, stay on the bike, watch running into my bottom and take photos at the same time along the little trails tho.
There are also trails out in the sunlight too which I enjoy... Ma took this very gawky looking photo of me, although she doesn't realise it was a set up. My ears really do have minds of their own:
We stopped for a few drinks also cos it was quite warm and I was working hard like a trouper, and Ma was perhaps a little lazy for my liking. This really does demonstrate the menagerie of brilliant colours that have infiltrated my life just now:
I don't know why she bothered bringing water. There was a perfectly good muddy pond there I could have bathed and slurped in without worry:
Biking excursions are always fun! But I must admit, I was getting a little tired by the end of it.
But sun, fun and a run makes for a very happy Koda!
Happy Monday to me!
And a furry happy Monday to all you puppies and kitties out there also!!!!
